A third chance at adventure

 Hello world!

Once again, it is me, px, here to revive our dead blog after 4 long years. From the time between then and now, I think my list of games would have changed quite a bit. Let's review from the previous times!

In 2015, I said

Currently, on mobile, I am playing Million Arthur and Age of Ishtaria, on PC, DotA 2 and FEZ, on 3DS, I have Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pokemon Y and Omega Ruby, etc (and more). Maybe in a future post, I will share my progress and thoughts on them. Also, I have to save up to buy games, so I tend to play free-to-play games unless I really want a particular game (thinking of trying Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate since it has really good reviews and are recommended by friends)

In 2017, I said

I have already moved on from most/all of those games. I guess it's not a surprise. Right now, I do have a bunch of games I play on and off (some I pretty much just claim log-in bonuses only (and very, very occasionally play)) These include Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage, Love Live! School Idol Festival. Some games that I play more regularly would be Otogi: Secret Spirit Agents, Granblue Fantasy and Shadowverse. In the past two years, I've also played some really amazing games, like Stardew Valley and World's Dawn.

Reading these, I realised that I do still play some of these (it's an on/off cycle), but mostly those in 2017, such as Starlight Stage, Granblue Fantasy, Shadowverse, and Stardew Valley. Perhaps, it is because these games receive regular updates that bring me back to them again and again.

Undertale - First impressions

I regret to start with: I have no screenshots for this post. For some reason, my steam screenshot key didn't work.

So I've played about 40 minutes of Undertale, and I have to say I am a little disappointed. Hmm, that is to say, not as much in terms of story since I've barely started with the introduction. My opinion is largely formed from the gameplay, and it's kinda putting me off from playing any further.

There may not be any more 100% original ideas...

...but it doesn't mean that ideas are no longer good. In fact, repeated ideas often mean that they are successful - hence repeated. It could also mean that the old ideas have a new twist!

So there's this quote here said by Mark Twain.
“There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages.”
So using non-original ideas are not necessarily bad or cliche. In particular, I'm going to talk about two games I've briefly tried recently - "Jawns" and "Tricky Towers".

Sup.

cwk30 here... and I am clearly late to this thing ๐Ÿ˜ถ 2 years late to be exact ๐Ÿ˜…

I game on mostly PC and Android. I have a ton of (freely gotten) games in my Steam Library.... My most commonly played PC games would be:

COD Black Ops II
DOTA 2
Battlefield 2
My Colony (I WILL DO A FULL POST ON THIS AMAZING GAME pls wait patiently)

Some games that I used to play... and probably will go back to playing once I find time:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Mirror's Edge
GTA San Andreas
Just Cause 2
Urban Terror
Battlefield 4
Kerbal Space Program
Minecraft

...Upon inspection, I realized that most of my games are really really old. ...I guess I like the old games more. With the exception of BF4. BF4 costed me a bomb.... and I end up playing BF2 more than BF4 orz.

Most of my PC games are FPS, or at least played in a First Person POV. I mean.... what else would you use a mouse for O.o

On Android, my device is currently a 128GB Mi5 Pro. I'm a gadget boy - and trust me when I tell you that Xiaomi is value for money for their specs ๐Ÿ˜ป (I WILL BACK THIS UP IN ANOTHER POST pls also stay tuned)

Games that I play on Android:
Idolmaster Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage (I have played this on/off for like ~2 years... and I am the kind of person that doesn't play a mobile game for long! This too deserves a dedication post)

--Seems like I only play this one game..--

Games that I used to play/play randomly when the feels kick in:
Love Live!
GTA San Andreas (yeah this can be played on mobile also)
Otogi SA
BanG Dream
Shadowverse

That's all for now... I will come back to this when the feels kick in. In the meantime please enjoy this amazing song from this amazing game:

It may sound a bit raw in the beginning... But if you watched the anime, and have half a heart, THIS SONG HAS SO MUCH MEANING. IT REPRESENTS THE HOPES AND DREAMS OF THIS DUO!!

Okay I will chill the hell down and sign off here.

....(But I will be back to convince you to play idolmaster:CG)

Happy 2nd Birthday, SomeGamesBlog!

It has been exactly 2 years since we have created this blog! I would love to do a giveaway but I don't think enough people visit our blog at all, sadly. Perhaps we will host one later in the future when we are more popular ;)

Let the gamers' spirits live on in us!

All the filters you could ever want

Recently, I've discovered a completely free photo editing software, Google's Nik Collection. It was actually available for free since March 24, 2016, but I guess I'm just a year late to the party. In this post, I am just going to show some of the edits I did while experimenting with the software.

All photos are top: before, bottom: after.

A second chance at adventure

Hello world!

I am px and a contributor of this site although I haven't contributed at all recently. In fact, no one else has contributed since my last post, but maybe we will be more active in taking about our latest games. This is a quote from my very first post:
